Rochester Police Respond to Gunshots Near East Silver Lake Park

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police are investigating a shooting.

Police Lieutenant Gretchen O’Neill says officers responded to multiple reports of gunshots around 10:30 Friday night. The calls came from the 900 block of 8th Avenue Northeast on the east side of Silver Lake Park, where the officers found a number of spent shell casings on a sidewalk.

No one was injured and no property damage was located or reported. Lieutenant O’Neill also stated the officers spoke with residents living in the area and no one knew of anyone who would have been involved or why the shots were fired.
