Colors to Avoid Wearing in Minnesota Unless You Love Mosquitoes
We are currently in the thick of mosquito season here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
Skeeters, ticks, flies - they've all been brutal this year. Likely due to the excessive amount of rain we've been dealing with and/or the unseasonably warm winter we had. Ugh.
While we are all trying to squeeze as much fun as humanly possible into the three short summer months doing anything and everything outside, the last thing we want to deal with is itchy bites am I right?
Did you know there are actually thousands of species of mosquitoes? You read that correctly!! Minnesota's Metropolitan Mosquito Control District (MMCD) says there are over 3,000 species of mosquitoes worldwide and here in Minnesota we have about 51 different species that are established.
I have no idea what it is, but mosquitoes cannot get enough of me. It doesn't matter how much repellent I'm wearing, they'll find me. Perhaps it's my blood type. It's def not summer in the North Star State if I don't get eaten alive by those little buggers.
