Faribault was playing Winona on the evening of September 12th. It was a typical high school football game under the lights until 8:27 PM. That's the moment that Faribault linebacker Will Sonpon suffered a significant injury.

According to southernminn.com, the stadium fell silent as Will lay motionless near the 50-yard line, surrounded by coaches and medical personnel. For more than 30 minutes, the crowd remained hushed. As a parent, there’s no greater fear than seeing your child hurt. It’s hard to imagine what Will’s family must have felt in that moment.
