You Can Make a Difference in Rochester: Free Bowl Painting Party for Empty Bowls

If you've got an hour or two available and want to get creative for a great cause, join me for one of my FAVORITE events in Rochester, Minnesota!  It's an Empty Bowls painting party and below is everything you need to know about this free event.

Check Out This Fun and Free EVEN Hotel Empty Bowls Painting Party

Every now and then, one of the extra voices you hear on Y-105FM is an amazing individual by the name of Jessica Taylor.  If you don't know her, she owns Jessica's Paint Your Own Pottery and also helps with all of the bowls needed for the Empty Bowls fundraiser for Channel One Regional Food Banks. 

Last year, a group of people showed up at a painting party and knocked out 80 bowls to help out the Empty Bowls fundraiser.  This year, the goal is 100 bowls and YOU are invited to show up, get creative, and paint a bowl for free.

Don't let the excuse of "I'm not an artist" stop you from participating.  Neither am I...the emoji above in the bowl and the cow bowl that you can see on my Facebook page - Jessica On The Radio are mine.  As Bob Ross says, "we don't make mistakes, we just have happy accidents".

Details About the Free Paint Your Bowl Event in Rochester, Minnesota

Grab a few friends, bring your kids, and join me for a fun night painting as we help out Channel One!  Here's what you need to know:

You don’t have to be an artist to make a difference—whether it’s your first time picking up a paintbrush or you’re a seasoned painter, everyone is welcome. This event is about more than just painting bowls; it’s about creating conversations, building community, and reminding ourselves that even small actions can make a big impact." - Jessica Taylor

 

• When: Thursday, October 2nd, 2025 from 5 pm until 7:30 pm
• Where: EVEN Hotel Rochester - Mayo Clinic (101 11th Ave. SW - Get Directions Here)
• Cost: Free
• What Are The Bowls For? - The bowls will be used for the Empty Bowls Channel One event.  
• Food and Drinks Available:  The bar at the EVEN Hotel will be open if you would like to order food and drinks.  You are welcome to enjoy that while you are painting bowls!
