Hastings, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has issued a Statewide Missing Person alert for an apparent fire victim.

The alert was issued on Saturday afternoon. Authorities suspect the missing Minnesota man is injured and are concerned for his well being. 

The fire broke out early Saturday morning, the alert says.

Minnesota Man Suspected of Being Injured Vanishes After Fire at Rural Property, Statewide Missing Person Alert Issued

The alert identifies 74-year-old William Michael Eickholt as the missing person. 

First responders were dispatched to a fire at his property, which is in a rural area north of Hastings, around 2:30 a.m.

Evidence at the fire scene indicated Eickholt suffered an injury during the blaze, the alert says. Authorities have not described the suspected injury. 

Eickholt is described as 6’01”, 175 pounds with white hair and green eyes. Officials say he typically wears women’s clothing, possibly a dress, however a description of his outfit at the time of his disappearance is not available. 

Authorities do not have a vehicle description and do not know what direction he traveled from the scene of the fire. 

Anyone who may have seen  Eickholt or has information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 651-439-9381.
