Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - The prosecution of a Rochester man accused of producing child pornography has shifted to federal court.

A federal Grand Jury last month issued a six count indictment against 27-year-old Kevyn Bradley Heath. Five of the federal charges involve the production and attempted production of child pornography, while the sixth count is for the alleged distribution of child pornography.

Heath was arrested by Rochester police in March as a result of an investigation that began the previous month after local investigators received a cyber tip regarding an image depicting suspected child sexual abuse material uncovered by Snapchat. The criminal complaint says the social media post was traced to a northwest Rochester residence where Heath resided.

The charges allege the investigation uncovered sexually explicit images depicting child sexual abuse involving Heath and a child under the age of two. It was also alleged that he sent sexually explicit images of himself to a teenage girl.
