Rochester Man Accused of Dozens of Sexual Assaults Pleads Guilty
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A guilty plea was entered today by a Rochester man accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a young girl.
40-year-old David Kochen was charged two years ago with four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. The charges alleged that he sexually assaulted a child under the age of 10 multiple times over the span of three years.
The criminal complaint indicates investigators learned of the assaults during an interview with the victim in July 2022. She stated that the first sexual assault that she recalls occurred in the summer of 2015.
The court document says the girl told investigators that she estimated she was sexually assaulted more than 40 times. She stated that the assaults occurred at two residences in Stewartville, a residence in Plainview, and during a vacation.
According to Olmsted County Court records, Kochen entered a guilty plea to a single count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and a hearing this morning. His plea agreement calls for the dismissal of the four other charges.
Kochen is scheduled to be sentenced in early December.
