Rochester Firefighters Battle Mobile Home Fire in Steamy Heat
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester firefighters and other emergency responders had to deal with the sweltering heat as they battled a mobile home fire this afternoon.
According to Rochester Fire Department and Rochester Police radio transmissions, the fire was reported just before 2 PM in a residence along 23rd Avenue SE near the El Gallo Grocery Store off Marion Road. The person reporting the fire indicated all of the occupants had safely evacuated from the burning structure.
The first firefighters to arrive at the scene reported heavy smoke and flames coming from the mobile home. A search for possible victims was started immediately and the fire crews began applying water to the flames less than 10 minutes after the 911 call came into dispatchers.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
