Hwy. 52 & Hwy. 57 Repaving Projects Start September 8 in Southeast Minnesota

Starting on Monday, September 8, crews will begin a project to resurface the northbound lanes of Hwy. 52.

The work area is more than tow miles and runs from north of Hwy. 60 in Zumbrota to north of County Rd. 7. MnDOT is telling motorists to anticipate a closure in the northbound lanes and that traffic will be single lane in the work zone.

The project has a price tag of $1.86 million, according to MnDOT.

The other resurfacing project starting September 8 is on Hwy. 57. MnDOT says that work zone runs from 16th St. in Kasson to the Zumbro River in Mantorville.

Traffic on the two-lane highway will be down to a single lane during construction work.

MnDOT says flaggers will be in the area and that a “pilot car” will lead vehicles through the roughly three-mile work zone. The resurfacing work has a $500,000 cost, according to MnDOT.

Both projects are scheduled to wrap up by October 6.
