MN Woman Killed & Teen Critically Hurt in Memorial Day Crash
Nisswa, MN (KROC-AM News) - A woman was killed and a teenager was critically injured in a Memorial Day crash in the Brainerd Lakes area.
The State Patrol says the person killed in the crash was a passenger in a car driven by a 16-year-old girl that collided with a pickup truck. 35-year-old Ashley Gamm was from Zimmerman
A 16-year-old boy in the car was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale with what were described as life-threatening injuries. The State Patrol identified him as Braidyn Johnson of Zimmerman.
The collision occurred around 11:50 AM at Nisswa. The State Patrol says 16-year-old Adley Belanger of Zimmerman was driving the car south on Highway 371 when she turned left into the path of the northbound pickup at an intersection in Nisswa. She was taken to a hospital in Brainerd with non-life-threatening injuries.
The three occupants of the pickup, including an infant girl, were not injured.
