
Sheriff: Man Assaults 3, Subdued With Taser at LeRoy Gas Station
LeRoy, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Mower County Sheriff’s Office says deputies used a Taser to subdue a man accused of assaulting three people at a gas station early Saturday evening.
According to a statement issued by the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a business on Main Street in LeRoy around 5:30 p.m. They encountered a 50-year-old LeRoy man who allegedly entered a parked vehicle and assaulted the driver, a 72-year-old man, also from LeRoy.
The Sheriff’s Office says the suspect then allegedly confronted and assaulted two employees of the gas station, ages 23 and 16, both from LeRoy. The news release did not provide any information about the medical conditions of the assault victims.
The Sheriff’s Office reported that the suspect was located nearby and described him as intoxicated and combative. After he was subdued with a Taser, the man was medically evaluated before being transported to the Mower County Jail.
The incident remains under investigation.
