Wyoming, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities have issued a statewide alert for a missing Minnesota man.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) says he is considered a vulnerable person and that his family is concerned for his safety. Officials sent the alert on Friday afternoon. 

The missing man was last seen on Thursday morning in east-central Minnesota.

BCA Issues Statewide Missing Person Alert for Wyoming, MN Man Who is Considered a Vulnerable Adult

39-year-old Jeffery Layeux is identified as the missing person. Authorities say he was last seen walking around 10:30 Thursday morning in Wyoming, MN. 

Layeux has mental health issues and is considered a vulnerable adult, the alert says. The BCA says the family has indicated it is out of the ordinary for Layeux not to return to his residence at night. 

Layeux is described as 5’10”, 210 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a camouflage-print jacket, blue jeans and an orange hat the last time he was sighted, according to the BCA alert. 

A direction of travel is not known. He is not believed to be traveling in a vehicle, the alert indicates. 

 Anyone who sees Layeux or has information regarding his whereabouts is asked to dial 911 or contact the Wyoming Police Department at 651-257-4100.
