Heavy Showers May Have Contributed to Injury Crash at Oronoco
Oronoco, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol says two people were hurt in a crash just north of Rochester that occurred while heavy rain was moving through the area this morning.
It was a two vehicle collision and was reported just before 7:15 AM on northbound Highway 52 at Oronoco. The State Patrol says a passenger car and a semi-truck were both traveling north when they collided and the passenger car ended up rolling in the ditch.
Both occupants of the car were transported by Mayo Clinic Ambulance for treatment. The State Patrol identified the driver as 24-year-old Denzel Wright of Fridley. His passenger was 27-year-old Anthony Mykleby of Minneapolis.
The State Patrol described both of their injuries as non-life-threatening.
The driver of the semi-truck was identified as 36-year-old Rabin Feramarzi of Rochester. He was not injured.
