Two Lives Lost in Crash on Rural Minnesota Highway
Detroit Lakes, MN (KROC-AM News)- A rural Minnesota crash claimed the lives of two people on Tuesday.

Three vehicles were involved in the fatality. The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly after 1:45 p.m.
The deadly crash occurred on Hwy. 59 north of Detroit Lakes. Preliminary information released so far says a car and van that were traveling north when the two vehicles collided with a southbound van.
33-year-old Cole Michael Carlson of Detroit Lakes was identified as the car driver. Carlson and his passenger, identified as 60-year-old Stacey Marlyn Nelson of Hawley, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Both of the car occupants were not wearing their seatbelts, according to the state crash report.
The driver of the southbound van, identified as 84-year-old Marvin Leroy St Germain, and his passenger, identified as 82-year-old Marie Annette St Germain, were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The man and woman from Fosston were buckled up. 59-year-old Evette Elana Fox of Bagley was driving the northbound van. She escaped the crash without injuries.
Alcohol was not involved in the deadly crash. The state crash report says the circumstances and events that led up to the fatal collision are still under investigation.
