Expect Traffic Disruptions at Downtown Rochester Intersection
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Traffic disruptions are expected this week while crews update the traffic signals at a busy intersection in downtown Rochester.
A news release says the work is scheduled to begin Monday at the corner of 4th Street and 3rd Avenue Southeast. The update will add flashing yellow left turn arrows to the traffic signals.
While the work is taking place, motorists will encounter an all-way stop at the intersection. City officials say stop signs will be used to control traffic at the intersection while the traffic signal controller is being replaced. Otherwise, motorists will encounter flashing red lights.
Motorists are also been advised that intermittent single-lane closures could also occur while the project is taking place. It is expected to be completed on Friday if the weather cooperates.
