Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - The man suspected of starting fires in two Minneapolis mosques is now in custody and is facing federal arson charges.

The US Attorney for Minnesota says Jackie Rahm Little, who is also known as Joel Arthur Tueting, was apprehended Saturday night in Mankato by a team of law officers from the FBI, ATF, and the Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges in federal court on Monday.

According to the charges, the 36-year-old Plymouth man allegedly started a fire in the bathroom of the Masjid Omar Islamic Center last Sunday evening. He is also accused of setting a fire on the third floor of the Masjid Al Rahma Mosque the following evening. Video surveillance recorded at the mosque shows Little entering the building just before the fire broke out.

Court documents also link Little to two prior vandalism incidents. A news release says Little was recorded on January 5th entering the office of a US representative in Minneapolis. It's alleged he spray-painted "500" on the front door and then photographed the graffiti. He is also accused of spray-painting the same graffiti on a Minneapolis Police squad car assigned to a Somali officer and the entryway to a marketplace popular with residents of Somali descent.
