5 Injured When Tire Falls Off Car on Southern Minnesota Highway
West Concord, MN (KROC-AM News) - Five people, including three children, were transported to St. Marys Hospital after a rear tire came off a car on a Highway in Dodge County this morning.
The State Patrol says the incident was reported shortly before 10 AM on Highway 56 just past the northern edge of West Concord. The preliminary crash report indicates 47-year-old Cesar Rivera Tinoco was driving south on Highway 56 when he lost control after the left rear tire came off the vehicle.
The State Patrol says the car then went off the road and rolled.
His passengers were identified as 21-year-old Cesar Rivera Quevedo, 17-year-old Angel Quevedo, 13-year-old Allison Rivera, and 12-year-old Edwin Rivera Quevedo. The State Patrol says all of the occupants of the car are from Dodge Center.
They were transported to Rochester by West Concord Fire and Ambulance, and Dodge Center Ambulance with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. The State Patrol report indicates the driver and all of the passengers were using seat belts.
The Dodge County Sheriff's Office also responded to the crash.
