Hollywood Actor Shows Off His ’54 Chris-Craft After Full Restoration
The more I learn about this Hollywood celebrity, the more I realize he really is just one of us. Josh Duhamel recently took to X to highlight the restoration work done on a sweet boat he owns, and like many Minnesotans, he certainly enjoys his time out on the water.
Josh Got The Boat From A Movie
The boat, which was featured in the Amazon Prime film Shotgun Wedding, was bought by Josh to be restored. The movie from which it was in was about a "wedding party [that] is taken hostage [and] the bride and groom must save their loved ones". Josh played the groom, and Jennifer Lopez was the bride.
Since the film, it had been a long two years of hard work by three men to get the 1954 Chris-Craft back into looking like it did when it was brand new. According to Josh in his video posted to X, the men who toiled long hours in restoring the boat were:

Dave Selvig
While The Boat Wasn't Made In MN, It Sure Fits In On The Lake
The chances that Josh's boat was made in Minnesota are zero, as the 1954 Chris-Crafts were manufactured in either Holland (Hometown of former Vikings QB Kirk Cousins) or Cadillac, Michigan. There is a chance it was made in Salisbury, Maryland, but only if it's a Sea Skiff model.
Growing up in a family that boated on the weekends throughout summer, when we'd see an older boat like this on the St. Croix or Mississippi, you couldn't help but smile as the person driving it knew it was something special. Josh has that same look towards the end of the video, as he doesn't seem to have a care in the world other than taking his boat on another lap around the lake he is on.
