Ever Heard Of The Fun-Loving Community Of Ideal Corners?
I love a good road trip. There's just something about experiencing a place for the first time. Often when people travel they get all wrapped up in taking pictures on their phone and posting the pics to social media. Not me. That's why places like Ideal Corners are so fun to go to, as many of the folks that stop by are the same way, enjoying the moment for what it is.
Ideal Corners is an unincorporated location near Pequot Lakes. Of course, this unincorporated community has a bar! Ideal Corners is home to the Old Milwaukee Club Saloon & Eatery. If you've never been, it's worth the trip as customers all rave that they are treated more like family than a customers. Plus they serve up your adult beverage in a cold mason jar...
Here's a review of the Old Milwaukee Club from Trip Advisor if you don't believe me about the mason jars.
I sauntered into the Old Milwaukee with a buddy as we waited for some friends to arrive. Beer was cheap and came in a cold mason jar. Our bartender was like an old friend, making sure we had what we needed. Fun stop, wish I would have been able to try some of the food. This place is plenty crowded in the winter as there are few other options near by.
Another online review seemed to echo that same sentiment.
Now of the 37 reviews that Trip Advisor has on the Old Milwaukee Club has a 4 star average. Like all small-town institutions, it can be hard to find people to work, and a recent review seemed to show that online.
If you are looking for a fun spot to check out this year, hit the road and see what Ideal Corners and the Old Milwaukee Club can offer you. You can find the Old Milwaukee Club at 35002 County Road 39, Pequot Lakes, MN 56472-3607.
