Candy Craze: Minnesota’s New Candy Store Offers Unbelievable Selection

Minnesota is home to some amazing candy stores, some big, like "Minnesota's Largest Candy Store" and some small, like the latest addition to the state.

This new candy store offers some unique things, like their "world famous $5 candy buffet", where visitors can fill a box full of a selection of over 100 different varieties of candy, they say "We don't care how much it weighs or what you cram in there."

The latest of 3 new locations of Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop is now open in Minnesota, earlier this year, the small chain of candy shops acquired three of Blue Sun Soda Shop's locations in Spring Lake Park, Bloomington and Stillwater.

The Stillwater and Spring Lake Park shops opened earlier this year, with the Spring Lake Park location being dubbed the "World's Largest Soda Shop". Grandpa Joe's Candy Shops makes its own unique soda flavors, and distributes candy and soda to over 15,000 customers nationally.

New Candy Shop

The new Bloomington location, at 9801 Nicollet Ave., is about 4 miles from the Mall of America, and will offer a selection of popular nostalgic and international candy and soda, like their popular Pickle and Ketchup flavored sodas.

Some of the other wild soda flavors you can expect to find at Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop include Cotton Candy, Bacon, Kettle Corn, Waffles & Syrup, and Blue Cheese.

Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop is also well known for their selection of unique cotton candy flavors including pickle, ranch dressing, and s'mores.

They also stock a huge selection of snacks, unique gifts, toys and games, and every type of candy you can imagine or not imagine.

Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop also has locations in Ohio, Florida, West Virginia, and their home state of Pennsylvania. If you haven't figured it out yet, Grandpa Joe is a reference to 'Charlie and The Chocolate Factory."
