UPDATE: Duluth Police Arrest Suspect After 2 Scary Home Invasions
Good news arrived today from the Duluth Police Department regarding a couple of scary home invasions recently in Duluth.
Duluth Police Department Issues Public Warning After 2 Home Invasions
A startling warning had been issued on the Duluth Police Department's Facebook page this week about 2 home invasions that happened on back-to-back nights.
According to authorities, on Monday, November 4, Duluth Police responded to the 200 block of West Kent Road for a report of a burglary. The individual, described as being a white male, entered the residence and made threats to the occupants inside.
A resident in this West Kent Road incident was transported by Mayo Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Then, on Tuesday, November 5, Duluth Police responded to a report of another burglary, this one occurring in the area of 1500 Vermilion Road. Again, an individual, described as being a white male, entered this residence and threatened the occupants inside.
The two residents in the Vermilion Road incident were also transported by Mayo Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Both incidents occurred in the evening between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. and the Duluth Police Department believes these incidents are related to each other since the description of the suspect and the details of the crime are the same in both incidents.
UPDATE: Duluth Police Have Arrested A Suspect
On Thursday, November 7, the Duluth Police Department announced they had arrested a man they believe is responsible for these crimes.
According to authorities, 58-year-old Jeffery Montana/Undahl was arrested and lodged at the St. Louis County Jail for pending charges of multiple counts of 1st Degree Burglary, 2nd Degree Assault, Threats of Violence, and Felony Kidnapping.
