Duluth, MN (KROC AM)  - It was bitterly cold in northeast Minnesota Wednesday morning - like more than 60 degrees below freezing in some areas.

The National Weather Service office in Duluth is reporting it received numerous reports of morning lows in the minus 20’s and 30s.

International Falls reported a low of -29. Two weeks ago the city set a record high of 29 degrees ABOVE zero. The record low temperature in International Falls for Wednesday’s date was -46 degrees. It was set in 2019.

It may not get above zero in many areas of the region until sometime Thursday.
