Stewartville, MN (KROC AM News) - Two buildings were wiped out by a fire near Stewartville Friday.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says the fire was reported around 1:30 PM at 7805 County Rd 20 SE.

The fire started in a barn on the property and due to strong winds, spread to a nearby building before Stewartville firefighters arrived.  Both buildings were engulfed when crews arrived.

It appears the fire may have started from sparks from a metal grinder that was being used in the barn.
