Eyota, MN (KROC-AM News) - Olmsted County deputies responded late Monday night to a mobile home community in Eyota where a couple of homeowners apparently interrupted a burglary in process.

Sheriff's Captain Scott Behrns says the incident was reported just before midnight by a 45-year-old man who told deputies he went to investigate a loud noise and saw a black four-door sedan speeding away. He then discovered that about $1200 worth of construction equipment, tools, and fishing gear had been stolen from his detached garage.

A neighbor told the deputies he heard the same loud noise and also went to investigate. The neighbor indicated he saw a person with long blonde hair standing outside the garage. When asked what the person was doing, the individual ran and jumped into the black sedan that was also seen by the victim driving away from the residence.
