However, there's a catch.

It's the old "If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you" scam... Only this time, it's for real!


But because it spans into Canada, you can only purchase and own the half that's inside the states.

According to KARE 11, the bridge is considered historic because it's eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places as an example of a major river crossing and also an example of a unique truss bridge type.

But here comes the "catch". Whoever purchases the half bridge has to agree to a number of conditions, including any deconstruction and the cost of removing and transporting it.

The plan is to open a new Rainy River Bridge in late 2019, or early 2020.
