Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) -  A quick thinking employee of a Rochester storage business helped police catch a suspected burglar.

The worker at the Allstate Mini Storage business near Cooke Park was at the site Sunday morning when he noticed a lock on one of the unit doors had been cut off.

The employee tried to check the unit but the door only partially opened. Becoming suspicious, the employee put another lock on the door and went to the office to check surveillance video. It showed a man entering the unit and remaining inside.

The employee then called police and officers found the man still inside. It’s also suspected the same man had broken into another unit.

Arrested was 29-year-old James Scanlan, who told police he is homeless.
