This is so sad.

I've only lived in Rochester a handful of years, but I can't remember a time where I didn't think of going there for cards, gifts or even a Christmas ornament to add to our ever-growing collection.

According to a story by Jeff Kiger at the Post Bulletin, Evenson's Hallmark Shop dropped a bomb on it's many faithful customers by starting a "Going Out of Business" sale.

While no exact date has been set to officially close, it's assumed that as soon as the sale ends, so too will the business towards the end of February.

What's really sad is the business has been a part of the community and Apache Mall for over 50 years!

This makes it one of the last of the original stores within the mall closing up shop for good.
