Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A capacity crowd will be on hand at the Mayo Civic Center this evening to attend a campaign rally appearance by President Donald Trump.

The line to get into the venue began forming on Wednesday when a handful of people set up a camp and it steadily grew through the day today as thousands of people waited patiently for the doors to open at 3:30 pm. For those who did not want to or could not make the journey to downtown Rochester to witness the presidential visit in prison, KROC-AM is providing the following link to a live-streamed video of the rally, which is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm.

President Trump's visit to Rochester attracted several protests. The largest was organized by a local group called C.U.R.E (Citizens United for Rochester Empowerment). A few hundred people participated in a noon-hour rally at Soldier's Field Park followed by a march through downtown Rochester that blocked traffic at the busy South Broadway and 2nd Street intersection for about 15-minutes.

Prior to arriving in Rochester, President Trump was delivered to the Twin Cities Airport by Air Force One and was taken by motorcade to a private, $10,000 per couple, fundraiser benefiting Republican candidates.
