Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - New building permits were issued in May for a Panera Bread store,another Kwik Trip and two more large apartment buildings in Rochester. 

The city’s Building Safety Dept report for May shows a $425,000 permit was approved for the  Panera store being built at the Riverfront Commons project along 16th St SW near Apache Mall.

A permit valued at $1.7-million was issued for the new Kwik Store store at 3520 Sarah Place NW.

One of the apartment projects approved in May is called Valley High Apartments and is located on Kenosha Dr NW. The 60 unit project is valued at $8.7-million. The other apartment project called Candlewood Suites is at the site of the former Clarion Inn along South Broadway near the fairgrounds. The permit for that project is valued at nearly $8-million.

Meanwhile, 43 permits for new single homes were also approved in May.
