Cannon Fall, MN (KROC-AM News) - Work on replacing two bridges on Highway 52 at Cannon Falls will cause significant traffic disruptions late Monday night and into early Tuesday morning.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation say crews will be installing the bridge beams for the new southbound bridge and traffic will be completely stopped in both directions for about 15 minutes for each of the four beams. The traffic disruptions are expected to begin at 10 p.m. and the work should be completed by around 4 a.m.

The project is taking place between Highway 19 and Goodhue County Road 24, with traffic limited to a single lane in each direction on the northbound lanes until the southbound bridge is finished. At that time, traffic will be shifted to the southbound lanes to allow for the replacement of the northbound bridge.

The entire $4.9 million project is expected to be completed in October.
