This Whole Lion Killer Thing Is Going a Little Too Far

Yes, Walter Palmer is an a-hole. He shot and killed a protected lion. But does he deserve to receive death threats over it? No. Everyone is up in arms about this whole thing and I don't get it. Three days ago, probably 99% of us had never heard of Cecil the lion. But that hasn't stopped people from making death threats against Palmer. Not only against him but his family. Seriously, people. Calm down!

I believe Palmer knew what he did was wrong. He lied in 2008 about the unlawful killing of a bear. Apparently he had killed the black bear in Wisconsin about 40 miles outside of the zone he was licensed to hunt in, then lied to a Fish and Wildlife agent saying that he shot it in the correct zone.

So obviously, this wasn't the first time he went on an illegal hunt. Now, regardless of WHERE he killed this lion or how many more animals he's killed illegally, I believe he should lose any and all hunting privileges anywhere in and outside of the U.S.

I DON'T think the guy should have to go into hiding and fear for his or his families lives or even lose his very livelihood over this whole thing.

I'm not a hunter. If you are, by all means, do what you want, but damn, calling for this guy's life and one person even offering $5,000 to kill Palmer, is a little much. No, it's WAY TOO much.
