Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police are investigating a theft at a local laundromat involving a thief who failed to drill his or her way into a cash changing machine.

The incident happened between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Northgate Coin Laundromat near John Marshall High School. Police say the would-be thief damaged the machine but failed to open it.

The person eventually gave up, but not before removing the recording machine for the laundromat’s video surveillance system.
