The road is often home to musicians ... up to a point. And it's that point that lies at the center of Theory of a Deadman's new song "Wake Up Call," the title track to their album of the same name. The band just released the melodic rocker in advance of the Oct. 27 street date for the new album.

The track starts with a sole piano note as singer Tyler Connolly almost ethereally delivers the line, "She's checking out." From there the song picks up with acoustic guitar joining the instrumentation as Connolly offers a heartfelt lament about a separation from his love. "This old hotel will never be home cause you are home to me," proclaims the singer, before revealing his love's near exit is a "wake up call" in the more upbeat and immediate chorus.

"Wake Up Call" follows on the heels of the current single "Rx" and continues to set the tone for what appears to be a more melodic album from the band. The song is now streaming on all digital service providers and is available as an instant grat download with all pre-orders of the Wake Up Call album. Theory of a Deadman headed off to London's Kensaltown Studios to record their new disc with producer Martin Terefe. Look for the band starting to add material from the upcoming album into their live performances. They are currently on tour with dates booked into November. See all of their scheduled stops here.
