I remember the Pannekoeken from when it was on South Broadway. So many moons ago. It moved to Downtown Rochester before I left town, so, 2005 2006? It's been a fixture since then, but now, the time has come, for it to make, its final curtain. The Days Inn around it is done (see my story on that here), so The Panne must close, too.

When'll they close the doors for good? An employee with which I had a very pleasant chat, said November 11th is their last day. BUT...they're taking those doors with them so they can open 'em again. Figuratively, anyway.

I was told they hope to open soon after they close in another downtown location. I'm hoping for the former Mac's location. Right there on the Peace Plaza is one of my favorite places to sit and watch people.

Where would you like them to re-open?
