So, I was driving by Lourdes High School on Valley High Drive NW and 19th St. NW and noticed a couple clumps of something in the road. Turns out it was two full-grown geese that had been run over. So wait... we're running them over now? I know a few weeks ago, someone had slammed on their brakes to avoid hitting geese on the interstate and caused an accident. I certainly understand that stopping for geese on a busy highway/interstate is NOT a good idea. But that road in front of Lourdes High School is NOT that busy. You should certainly stop for a goose or two.

But not the person who hit these. It seems it may have been intentional. I don't know. I wasn't there, but WTH? Are we NOT stopping for geese anymore?

I was driving on 22 by the History Center and there were about 50 geese crossing the road at once, and traffic was backed up quite a ways to let them cross. And 22 is certainly busier than 19th St.

So, if the road is not a busy interstate/highway, STOP for geese. It's not that hard.
