Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Light freezing rain in SE Minnesota will likely affect the morning commute.

The rain will transition into snow Thursday morning and by the time it tapers off, totals could be in the 4 - 6-inch range. Cold air will move in for a few days with subzero temps expected at night and single digits during the day.

Because of the wintry weather, Rochester Public Schools is closed. The district says the SACC program at Northrup will be open 8:30am-4pm Thursday. All of Thursday’s after-school activities and athletics are canceled.
