April Sorensen was brutally attacked in broad daylight inside her Northwest home on April 17, 2007. She had come home from a class at RCTC that morning. A cable company was scheduled to come visit. Upon arrival they discovered a fire within the home and contacted the fire department immediately. What was discovered is forever impressed on each person involved in this case. April's body was unidentifiable due to her body being set on fire. The fire covered most of the evidence. But there's still hope.

I sat with Captain John Sherwin from the Rochester Police Department to get an update and find out what the community can do to help. The extended interview is below filled with details related to the case, circumstances surrounding it and how you can help.

"You need evidence, you need proof. And it's not like you can arrest someone just because you think they did it. If that was the case, I can tell you in this case we would have made an arrest. But you need proof." - Captain Sherwin

If you have any information related to the case you can contact the Rochester Police Department's Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS. There's is a $25,000 reward.
