The pretty and sunny Tuesday morning in Rochester was a perfect setting for a truly special event.

Rochester locals and city officials were proud to welcome more than 150 wounded warriors on the Peace Plaza as they pursued their grand route to Chicago. This particular leg of the trip meant that their next stop would be in LaCrosse.

Mayor Brede was excited to wish blessings to the veterans as they continue on their journey. He was also presented with a special jersey from Project Hero and revealed plans to evaluate the potential of bringing more programs that benefit veterans to Rochester.

Watch the events unfold below!

Mayo Clinic simply knows him as "Anthony", and it should be mentioned that not only did he score a jersey too - he always did a phenomenal job with our National Anthem.

Dr. John Wald of Mayo Clinic also extended a warm welcome and well wishes for every veteran pursuing the journey.

Mayor Brede closed his words with the hope that the Peace Plaza "live up to its name", and always be a spot where people unite in peace.

At this point, we'd love to extend our thanks to every biker who made it through Rochester! We appreciate your service and thank you for choosing to spend part of your journey right here in Rochester!
