Rochester Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A routine traffic stop Monday sent a Rochester man to jail on drug and other charges.

A patrol officer pulled over 36-year-old Antonio Howard in the 600 block of 15th Ave SE around 4:30 PM.

When the officer smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, he ordered Howard to get out. The officer then checked a bag in the vehicle and found it contained around half a pound of synthetic marijuana and some real pot.

When the officer tried to arrest Howard, he took off running but was caught about a block away.
