Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Police responded to two shootings on Saturday.

The first occurred around 9:30 in the morning near the RCTC campus. A spokesman says officers responding to reports of gunshots found a half a dozen spent shell casings on the ground in the parking lot of The Quarters Apartments. There are security cameras in the area of the gunfire and the shooting apparently involved a dispute between groups of people in two cars. Four people were later detained in connection with the investigation but were not arrested.

The other incident occurred around 4 o’clock in the afternoon at the nearby Homestead Village Townhomes. A spokesman says police were again alerted by witnesses calling 911 and reporting hearing gunfire. One man told investigators he saw two vehicles, a silver car and a green van, speeding away from the area and was able to jot down the license plate number from the car, which was located yesterday in downtown Rochester.

At last report, there had been no arrests for either shooting and no injuries were reported.
