Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - There have been several recent residential burglaries and attempted break-ins in northwest Rochester and police are trying to determine if they are related.

One of the incidents was reported Sunday. A man called 911 around 11 p.m. to report someone had just fled after breaking into his home in the 5900 block of 26th Ave NW. The man says he heard his doorbell but decided not to answer because it was late at night. He then heard a basement window break and called police. It’s not known if entry was made into his home.

A few hours later, an officer on patrol spotted a car that was parked on the street in the area of Savannah Dr and White Pine Dr NW in the North Park neighborhood. When the officer stopped, three apparent  juvenile males fled on foot. The owner of the vehicle was out of town. He was contacted and said he had left the car in his garage. Officers went to his home in the 6300 block of 55th Ave NW and found it had been broken into.

Other recent break-ins in the northwest part of the city are under investigation.
