Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  A Rochester woman was arrested Tuesday after police say she threatened some John Marshall students with a gun - on Facebook.

Police Capt. John Sherwin says the woman’s daughter got into a fight with at least one other female student at John Marshall High School Monday and they were suspended. Sherwin says the girl’s mother went on Facebook Live Monday night and made threats against the student or students who she said had assaulted her daughter.

Sherwin says she displayed a gun and made reference to the street gang Gangster Disciples.

Police became aware of the threats Tuesday and later arrested 36-year-old Marilyn Haywood-Ransom on two felony charges.
