Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who had his expensive bicycle stolen Monday did some of his own detective work to find it.

The 25-year-old had left the bike unlocked outside a convenience store and came out a few minutes later to find it was gone. The man started checking the internet and found his bike for sale on a Facebook site. The man said the $5,000 Italian racing bicycle was being offered for $1500.

The man made arrangements to meet the seller Tuesday and then called police. The man met the seller in the parking lot of an apartment complex and officers who were nearby moved in to make the arrest. It was determined the seller was not the person seen stealing the bike on surveillance video but he was still taken into custody.
