Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man is scheduled to be sentenced in July for a conviction stemming from an assault and robbery last summer. 20-year-old Jeremy Maclin recently entered into a plea agreement in Olmsted County Court by admitted to a third-degree assault charge in exchange for the dismissal of a second-degree assault charge and a count of first-degree aggravated robbery.

Court documents indicate Maclin was on probation for a burglary involving a gun when investigators connected him to an attack on a man that left the victim with a broken leg. Witnesses identified Maclin as one of three men who started punching a man in a car, and we he attempted to run away, knocked him to the ground and began punching and kicking him. Maclin was identified as the person who struck the victim with a bat and broke one of his legs before the attackers went through his pockets and fled in a stolen car.

A second man charged in the case, 21-year-old Shun Johnson, is scheduled to appear at an evidentiary hearing next month.
