Rochester Man Admits to Attack on Former Girlfriend

A Rochester man has pleaded guilty to a felony domestic assault charge for his involvement in an attack on a former girlfriend.

24-year-old Richard Eaton was accused of breaking into the victim’s home with his new girlfriend in early October. The criminal complaint alleges 28-year-old Mara Jokic was assaulting the 24-year-old victim when Eaton broke up the attack, but when his former girlfriend barricaded herself in a bedroom and tried to call 911, he was accused of kicking down the door and striking the woman.

He is scheduled to be sentenced in January.

Jokic, who is facing felony assault and burglary charges, is due in court for an evidentiary hearing next month.
