We're approaching the 10th anniversary of the infamous "Rick Roll," which began back in May of 2007. Surprisingly, this phenomenon still exists and to Rick Astley's credit, he's capitalized on the viral success. In August of last year, the Foo Fighters Rick Rolled the Westboro Baptist Church and now Astley has in turn taken up a brief cover of the Foos' smash hit "Everlong."

Astley uploaded the cover to his Facebook page (seen below), aggressively strumming along on guitar while decked out in a white-pinstriped black button-down shirt decorated with a skull on the front near each shoulder. He sings, "Only thing I'll ever ask of you / You've got to promise not to stop when I say when" though his vocal take is not among his best. After ending the cover snippet, he plugs an upcoming show on Dec. 23 at the Shepherds Bush Empire with the group the Luddites for a charity event for Nordoff Robbins. He promises everything will sound better, as he'll be playing drums rather than the guitar.

We'd be lying if we said it had never crossed our mind to just post the video of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" instead to Rick Roll all of you, but we promise the video below is the one of Astley playing "Everlong!"
