Chatfield, MN  (KROC AM News) - Law officers from several Rochester area jurisdictions were involved in a high-speed chase early Wednesday that ended near Chatfield.

The police chase involved a stolen pickup truck that began in the St. Charles area around 2:30 AM.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Kirby Long says the vehicle was clocked at 100 mph as it headed west on I-90. The driver also crossed into the eastbound lanes before exiting on Highway 74. The chase ended about 10 miles away when the driver ditched the truck and ran into some woods near Chatfield.

Long says during the search for the suspect, an Olmsted County deputy was overcome by the heat and humidity and had to be taken to St. Marys Hospital where he was treated and released.

At last check, the suspect was still on the loose.
