Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A reminder from Olmsted County about a new security-related change that takes effect Monday.

Beginning Monday, the lower level access doors to the Olmsted County Government Center will be closed to non-employees.

These doors are located on the west side of the Government Center under the Zumbro River skyway.

Why?

The county says this entrance to the building has “proven, over the years, to be a point of concern for visitors, vendors, and employees. Safety experts believe limiting access to the lower level of the Government Center will greatly improve security for all who use the Government Center.”
