My Memorial Weekend Camping Playlist
You can't go camping without a little music. Here's a few tunes I like to have at the ready to throw on while we're playing bags, drinking beers and just hanging out. It's a little bit of everything. By all means, feel free to share your camping tunes in the post below.
- 1
America
You've gotta have a little something mellow when you're camping on a nice, lazy Saturday afternoon. This is strictly for background, though. You don't want do overdo it with the slower jams.
- 2
Bob Seger
No matter where you are, you can't go wrong with a little Bob Seger.
- 3
Journey
Remember, when you break out the Journey, though 'Faithfully' and 'Open Arms' are good songs, you should probably leave those tunes at home. It's more about having some fun. 'Seperate Ways' is also a good choice but this one HAS to be on my playlist.

Night Ranger
This one, although it is a slow jam, is okay to play once... maybe twice. Once when you're sober and then again when you've had a few and you want to play air drums. They've got some other great, rockin' tunes like 'You Can Still Rock in America' etc. Those would be fine, too.

Godsmack
Here's where we start hitting dusk. You've played enough bags and whatnot, now you're just gonna hang out. I find that as the night goes on, the songs get heavier. Tunes like this are good to play anytime, if you ask me.

Metallica - Pretty Much Any Old School Stuff
Who doesn't like Metallica?
- 7
Volbeat
These guys will keep the party going.
- 8
Kaleo
Definitely a band you want to check out.
- 9
Foxy Shazam
Another great party tune. Sadly, they broke up in October of 2014. So, I guess I won't get the chance to see them anytime soon.

Beastie Boys
Doesn't matter what you play from them, you can never go wrong with the Beastie Boys.
