A company that has the meats, can now also claim wings, beer and sports.

I can honestly say I did not see this coming. I'm a huge fan of both franchises, but this is crazy!

Announced on Tuesday, Arby's has bought out Minnesota-based Buffalo Wild Wings with a $2.9 billion takeover.

With more than 1,200 restaurants across 10 countries, soon B-Dub's 21 mouth-watering signature sauces and seasonings will be Arby's property. As of right now, no major changes have been announced and there's no word on whether the head office in Minneapolis will be moved.

In the statement, Buffalo Wild Wings CEO Sally Smith said:

“We are excited about this merger and confident Arby’s represents an excellent partner for Buffalo Wild Wings. This transaction provides compelling value to our shareholders and is a testament to the hard work and efforts of our talented Team Members and franchisees. We are confident that the strength of our two industry-leading brands, under the sponsorship of Roark Capital – an experienced restaurant and food service investor – will enable us to capitalize on significant growth opportunities in the years ahead.”

According to USA Today, B-Dubs has experienced recent struggles as of late, and has also been affected by the rising cost of chicken wings, amongst other factors.

I can remember a few years back when Arby's tried selling their own buffalo wings, and they were horrible. Maybe now they'll try again, and then they truly will have ALL the meats!
